Half Birthday, Puzzles and Ranch Dip

Friday, March 16th was Micah's half birthday. He's now 18 months old.
Micah loves numbers and letters. He can correctly identify all his letters and numbers 1-10. He points out numbers and letters all the time. One night we were driving home and he read the letters on the licence plate of the car in front of us: ADK. He also points out the letters on the QT sign when we drive by. When I ask him if he'd like to take a bath, he asks to draw letters or numbers in the tub with his tub crayons. During Sesame Street I think his favorite part is the number of the day; he yells it out and raises his hands in the air. He can also identify both his first and last name. He's pretty amazing!
He likes to fill in words for songs as I sing them, especially Wheels on the Bus, Veggie Tales Theme Song, Old MacDonald, and Arky Arky. He loves puzzles and coloring. We're working on colors. Almost everything is blue-green these days. He's still eating blueberries daily. On his half birthday, he also discovered ranch dip and how to climb out of his portable crib. I'm praying it'll still be a while before he climbs out of his regular crib. I'll keep you posted...

Swingin' at Oma & Opa Schneiders' house

Blueberries

Since September, Micah has been on a blueberry kick. I keep thinking that he'll just forget about them one day or decide he's tired of eating them every morning for breakfast. Almost every morning and often other times during the day, Micah sweetly looks at me and requests, "Blueberries?" He is a blueberry monster. So, I've added blueberries to my permanent grocery list and part of my nightly routine is to put some frozen blueberries in a bowl and put them in the fridge . Then my little angel can have his beloved blueberries first thing in the morning without waiting . Oh, the simplicity of life when blueberries can be a joy - day after day after day.
