More on India

Why say again what's already been said well?

Here's proof that Micah is willing to sleep anywhere. It's hot and loud. What a blessing it is to have such a flexible child. Thank you, Lord!

Micah enjoyed sleeping and playing in his pack 'n' play (What a great invention!) with the mosquito net. He seemed to especially like that it didn't hurt when he fell down.

Airplane bassinets are another wonderful invention.

I praise you, Lord, for giving Micah an extra measure of Your joy!

Micah goes to India

There is so much to show and tell about this amazing trip. This is just the beginning...

Britt, Micah and I, along with a team of teachers and one student from ICS, went to India for spring break to visit Pastor Daniel and Voice of Gospel Ministries. Visit their website: http://www.voiceofgospelministry.org

We arrived in India on Saturday night. Sunday morning we were picked up from our hotel and taken to Pastor Daniel's house. Not long after we got there, Micah was snached up by the ladies in the ministry. They were in the back room of the house. He loved it and they were all smiles.

Britt spoke at the Sunday morning service and prayed with Pastor Daniel for people's needs after the service.

The congregation eats together after the service every Sunday morning. Here they are milling around outside.

Sunday afternoon, we went to an elephant park.

Can you find Micah? I could have taken a picture similar to this several times each day that we were in India. Every where we went, Micah was surrounded by people trying to talk to him, touch him and love on him. With very few exceptions, he loved every minute of it. This picture was taken on Monday afternoon at the first Mercy Home we visited. Visit the website for Mercy Homes, too: http://www.mercyhomes.org

More to come...

Carrots

After 3 weeks of rice cereal, I introduced Micah to carrots. He loved them. To date we've added squash - equally as yummy - and sweet potatoes will be next.

Superstar

Not long after the crib shock, Micah started pulling himself up everywhere.

Preference: Piglet

Little stuffed Piglet from Micah's Aunt Andrea is quickly becoming his prefered friend for naps, bonks and crabby moments when he needs a little extra comforting. It's a good thing Piglet can survive the washer and drier; he makes weekly visits.

Shocking New Skill

On March 21st, I walked in to check on Micah while he was napping. This is how I found the little rascal. He was so proud of himself. I was pretty proud, too - shocked, but tickled.

Happy Half Birthday!

Alice's Visit

Alice Trammell, our dear friend, came to visit. She is Micah's MeMa. She got to endure the cutting of the second tooth and to watch him become a crawling pro. My mom sent a Gap cap with Alice for Micah. He got a kick out of it! We had many adventures with Alice, but I didn't do a very good job documenting them digitally. I hope to get copies of her pictures sometime soon. I did document a very yummy and creative pancake breakfast she made us. Take a look!
Can you tell which is for whom?
